The Respect Life group for St. Mark’s Parish is currently a collection of individuals tied together via email communication, under the lead of the Diocesan Parish Respect Life Chairperson. This chairperson has been commissioned by Bishops of the Diocese, and Pastors of St. Mark’s Parish, to support the Bishop (see Home page Mission).
While there are many ways to get involved and take action for this ministry, for St. Mark’s, there is no formal organization or bylaws, no regular meetings. Our purpose is to educate, inform, and call to action, in support of the Bishop.
Accordingly Email is used, on as as-needed basis, to provide current news events, pass on education info, legislative news, and action requests from the Diocese, as well as for parish news. We communicate with the parish via this web site, bulletin announcements, announcements from the pastor, parish mailings, and email. Alternatively, folks are encouraged to use the links on the submenu item: “Related Web Sites” for national and international happenings.
If you would like to be part of this, the greatest grass-roots civil rights movement of the generation, please send an email per below and we will put you on the St Mark’s Parish RTL email list. We will reply that we received your request, and you will start getting the reports / action requests.
